Welsh Language and Bilingual Events

There are a lot of exciting Welsh language/bilingual events this Summer in Maesteg!

The latest poll by the Office of National Statistics shows a significant increase in the numbers of Welsh speakers in Wales – from 726,600 in 2008 to 874,700 today! The numbers are up in our area too, and Awen Cultural Trust is keen to support this growth.

Across our venues, our audiences and service users include thousands of Welsh speakers and learners, and we’re committed to providing quality Welsh language shows and events.
For the use of Welsh to grow, learners and speakers need spaces where they can socialise in Welsh and experience memorable events through the medium of Welsh.

Take a look below at our Welsh language events taking place over the summer, from workshops and children’s shows to gigs and giants of Welsh rock!
