Maesteg Town Hall redevelopment secures Heritage Lottery Funding

Another significant step has been taken towards the redevelopment of Maesteg Town Hall with Bridgend County Borough Council, in partnership with Awen Cultural Trust, successfully securing Heritage Lottery Funding.

Development funding of £96,800 has been awarded to the project so that a range of important preparation work can be completed in readiness for the next crucial funding application which will need to be submitted in early 2019.

As well as further work to establish the existing condition of the building structure, recording its historic features and developing the design, the funding will be used to carry out a range of community engagement activities to capture the heritage of the Hall through the eyes of the people of the Llynfi Valley.
